ABOUT OUR MISSION
From the Bethlehem area we make available beautiful first quality hand-carved olive wood items for groups and individuals to sell on consignment with 30% profit on whatever is sold.
These beautiful carvings sell themselves as they come directly from Bethlehem and Beit Sahour-the town of the Shepherd's Field next to Bethlehem. Stories of the olive tree, how your sales help the Christian Palestinians, and a history of the Jerusalem Cross and carvings are included.
WHO BENIFITS
Approximately 100 families of carvers help with:
- Famly run olive wood carving shops
- Carvers
- Women working with embroidery
- People making boxes
- People working in the print shop
- Children packing boxes
Others: families selling tools, farmers selling raw wood, people doing shipping, and shops in the Christian town of Beit Sahour (Shepherds' Field town) where people the spend their money. The mayor and the municipality endorses the project which helps desperate people.

WHY WE DO IT
You can bring hope to Christian Palestinians. You can help relieve an economic crisis of the Palestinian people. There very few tourists to buy the beautiful olive wood carvings carved by Christian Palestinians. In order to help to continue a Christian presence in the Holy Land they need a market for their beautiful work. Otherwise, they will be forced to leave their land in order to feed their families. We are bringing these carvings to you to sell and make 30% at no risk. Will you help make a difference in their lives and bring hope in the midst of despair?
HOW IT WORKS
- A group or individual should submit an online order form or contact Cerena Fischer at BethlehemImport2@aol.com to order a consignment package.
- A consignment package will be sent to you directly from Bethlehem, usually within 10 days of your order. These are first quality, beautifully carved, nativity items, plus others. (See Consignment Packages).
- Cerena Fischer (1159 W. Hialeah Lane, Hanover Park, IL 60133) will stock a supply of each item contained in the consignment. Please contact Cerena for re-orders and special orders. You may email her at BethlehemImport2@aol.com .
- When you are finished selling and your market is saturated, you have some options:
1) pay for and retain all unsold items for future sales, or
2) pay for and retain some unsold items for future sales, or
3) return unsold items to Cerena. You pay the cost of returning items to her.
